VertiGO gives an aggressive stance to electric bikes

VertiGO from designer Maarten Timmer seeks to correct the appearance of electric bikes, and the negative notions that come bundled with those looks. Electric bikes may work well, but their looks can be off-putting to a number of riders and potential customers.
Maarten handles the problem by giving the bikes a more contemporary-aggressive look, something that would be liked and appreciated by bikers, and at the same time remove any prejudices against electric bikes. The looks are accentuated by the empty space under the seat. While the design maintains an integrity of its own, it does not go around with a plaque that screams “electric.”
