Tire Lounge Chair design finds brand new luxury in tires

We’ve seen attempts to use discarded tires as gadget covers, and the tire lounge chair design by Ludovic Peperstraete pulls one up on that, if it ever goes into production that is. The lounge chair bypasses the problems associated with recycling tires by reusing them; albeit in a different form. This design uses tires as a base, and along with recycled tubular iron and textiles, creates a lounge. Looks good, but if it is to ever to reach the consumers, it will require a much thicker padding; those images don’t make it look very comfortable.
