After a flurry of speculation and a teaser, the new Bugatti finally came out of its cover. The new four door coupe will be called Galibier, and not Bordeaux as was speculated earlier. Its body is mainly carbon fiber, and sports a Veyron-like two-tone finish. The new coupe will be powered by a modified version of the Veyron’s mighty W16 engine mounted up front.
The Galibier weighs 4200lbs and will be able to reach a top speed of 217mph. There’s a possibility that the Galibier may be able to run on ethanol based fuels as well, which might give it more horses, or at least a tinge of green. The coupe was unveiled at an event for past customers and Bugatti-intenders, and since Bugatti has no presence at Frankfurt, more details about the supercar aren’t likely to come by at the moment. As far as the cost is concerned, the Veyron costs $1.4 million, and we’re thinking that the Galibier will go far beyond that mark. Scroll down for the gallery and a video from Bugatti.
