The extreme pimped rides of Japan
Harshpaul | Sep 15 2009

Nothing speaks as strongly about a car owner than the custom job gone into the vehicle, and these videos show some outlandish, extreme custom jobs on some Japanese vehicles. The first video shows a BMW E66 belonging to a Buddhist priest. The car’s trunk is full of Buddhist sutras written with 30,000 Swarovski crystals, if this isn’t pimped enough, the priest also owns a Toyota Celsior UCF20 which has gullwings as well as scissor doors, split hood, and 24 monitors in the interiors. This job was completed in 12 years and cost 10 million yen ($110,000).

Then there’s the Batman van built over 13 years that cost the owner 25 million yen ($280,000) and his marriage, which is of course a dear price to pay for Bat worship. A rocket launcher van, a replica of “Pointer” battle vehicle from a Japanese TV Show, and Hitachi ATASCO machine used by Tokyo’s fire department are also included.

The video at the bottom shows a Subaru R1 disguised as a Ferrari, a customized 1994 Cadillac Limo, a mighty beast in the form of the Tank Dragster. This one is powered by a 25000 hp jet engine and can top out at 250 mph; this one cost the owner $450,000. Last is a T-REX super three-wheeler that can reach a top speed of 140mph.
