SiFi Ryder: Short-range, jet propelled surveillance vehicle concept

Surveillance operations need to be quick, and the SiFi Ryder concept from designer Christopher Hall seeks to accomplish exactly that. Bird-like in appearance, the SiFi Ryder is powered by a jet-engine and is designed to give a light motorcycle feel. The concept has a landing-gear that can allow it to touch the ground in a number of different terrains.
If the environment is hostile, the vehicle can go on unmanned missions to scout and survey territories. With the loud roar the jet engine will make, and the flat landing gear the concept has, we can think of only a few situations in which it would be useful.
