Pink Panther Mini set for auction
Harshpaul | Jul 8 2009

Peter Sellers’ famed Mini from the original Pink Panther movie is set to hit the auction block later this month. It appeared in the first Pink Panther sequel where Inspector Clouseau drove it around Paris. This particular Mini was made specially for Peter Sellers and was built by coach builders Radfords. Owing to its origins, the Mini has a bit of luxury trim and unique finish.

It has leather seats, Wilton carpets, a walnut dash, chrome window surrounds and its famous ‘wicker work’ paint job, all complemented by a number of other instruments. As the story goes, this Mini probably cost as much as a Rolls Royce in the early sixties. Coys Motors will auction the Mini on July 18, and it is expected to fetch £35,000 - £40,000.
