Orbis: Segway-like compact, foldable vehicle for the urban environment

When it was launched, the Segway was supposed to be a transport solution that would solve our transport, congestion and environment problems with one sleek, futuristic package. Long story short, nothing like that happened. The Orbis concept is a single wheel vehicle, that functions much like the Segway, only it’s foldable.
Gyroscopes maintain balance for the electric-powered 25lb vehicle that can reach speeds up to 22 kmph. Plus, it is foldable and easier to carry around. The Orbis is just a concept, but even if it were real, we don’t think it would have a fate any different than the Segway. Not being foldable isn’t exactly a huge disadvantage in this case.
