Hyundai shows the small crossover iX Metro concept
Harshpaul | Sep 4 2009

Hyundai has announced a new concept that will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Designed by Hyundai’s Global design team in Korea, the small electric-gasoline hybrid looks like a head turner, though not in a good way. We may not like the looks of the car from the renderings, but there is nothing we have against the performance figures, which seem interesting and impressive.

The 3.93 meter long crossover gets power comes from a 1.0-l turbocharged gasoline engine that generates 125hp while keeping the emissions to a low 80grams/ km. The engine is mated to a six-speed dual clutch transmission. Word on the street is that Hyundai will build a production model based on this concept in a couple of years, there is no official confirmation though.
