The Grand Monaco phone from Russian luxury mobile phone manufacturer Gresso isn’t the first phone to be inspired by the famed sport, and it isn’t going to be the last. For a mobile phone to be inspired by F1 racing, the Grand Monaco gets a bit of the package for its construction. It is made of titanium superalloy, high-tech ceramic and carbon.
For the luxury touch, the phone gets a hand-polished 42 K sapphire crystal framing the display. As for the other features, they’re nothing unusual or out of the way. It has the usual GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, 2MP camera, Bluetooth and email. The phone comes in two flavors with names that are incredibly easy to confuse “Black Ceramic Black Carbon” and “Metallic Ceramic Black Carbon.” The phones cost $2100 each.
