EV Innovations ready to unveil Wave electric car

EV Innovations may be preparing the electric supercar Inizio, but they are also gearing up for a more “tame” model to pitch for the Automotive X Prize. The Wave electric car is a plug-in two seat car that will be priced near the $30k mark, and is claimed to cover 200 miles on a single charge. Top speed mark for the Wave will be 80mph, as opposed to 170mph that the Inizio is expected to reach. Production of the Wave is expected to start in 2010. The company is yet to decide on the model it will pitch for the prize.
