Discarded tires are no friends of the environment, and there’s very little that they can be put to use for. Tread gives a new life to this rubber, with an intelligent example of reuse. They use discarded tires to create covers for gadgets like the iPod, mobile phones, laptops and Solio Cases. Rubber for these cases comes from South American truck tires, each of which is examined and then crafted into the case that is most suitable. The cases are constructed with detail, and are finished in a fine texture and stitching. They maintain the ruggedness of the tires and are capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, acids and UV rays.
