Bill Gates patent for Electromagnetic Engine, Plasma Injectors, renews old joke

It appears that Bill Gates has filed a patent for a new type of engine that does away with the traditional generator design in favor of a new design. It uses the motion of magnet-embedded pistons to induce current in windings wrapped around the cylinder.
The patent application goes on to define a “plasma injector.” These injectors act as a replacement to spark plugs, and work with great predictability and reliability. There aren’t imminent plans for production for the plasma injector, but prototypes are being developed. Well, if Microsoft or Bill Gates really do create something like that, beware GM’s side of the joke could come true.
