Auction for a chance to be Martin Jetpack test pilot draws mild response

About a week ago, Martin Jetpack put its Jetpack on eBay, and offered anyone with enough money to get a chance to be “a part of aviation history.” The bid started at $30,000 and the prize was a chance to enter the company records as the first person outside the development team to fly the jetpack, and six flight sessions over three days. Well, the auction has ended, with just three bids with the winning bidder offering $35,101 for a chance to enter aviation history, or probably just for the fun of flying a jetpack.
