Harshpaul | Dec 1 2007

Artega is the latest name in Germany’s sports car manufacturers. The company, founded by ex-Maserati boss Karl-Heinz Kalbfell and ex-Aston designer Henrik Fisker is working on a new factory to build its GT model.

The new GT will go on sale in 2008 and will be powered by a 3.6L rear mounted V6. With a power output of 296bhp, the car will complete a zero to 62mph dash in less than 5.0 seconds. Initially, only a left-hand drive version of the vehicle will be available, the right hand drive trim will wait until the company has enough money to invest. Price has been set at €75,000 and 170 units will go on sale in the first year, with the number rising to 320 in 2009.
