Acer unveils new Ferrari One notebook
Harshpaul | Sep 12 2009

Acer’s Ferrari connection has come up again with its new Ferrari branded notebook. The Ferrari One has a “racing red” lid with the Ferrari prancing horse at the center, while the keyboard area of the notebook strives for the carbon fiber look. Performance has to be a major plus for a netbook sporting the prancing horse logo, so the Ferrari One runs on the AMD Congo Platform.

This platform gives the notebook a dual-core AMD Athlon X2 L310 processor running at 1.2 GHz with 1.2 MB L2 cache. It also has M780G chipset and the ATI Radeon 3200 integrated graphics chipset. Other details include 2GB DDR2 memory, 11-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution, 250GB HDD, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. The Ferrari One will be available on October 22 with a price tag of €450 ($656). In case you don’t really want the netbook, there’s always the Ferrari-inspired gamepad, or perhaps Toshiba’s Ducati branded laptop could cut some ice.
